Need for Apple repair techs?

Hi all,

Sorry for the misplaced topic but I could not figure out how to make a new thread. My main question is that I currently live in the US and was wondering if there is a need for Apple software and repair technicians needed in Dubai? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time and patience

There is and there isn't.
Apple is gaining momentum here, and few people understand the inner workings.
But not many companies cater to Macs, and the majority of technicians are first line support.
SO it depends on how high the ladder you are.
You might have to try the old "foot in the door" before you get in.

We get requests for tech support jobs on the site and in contacts with people, there's not a lot that we come across but it happens.

I'd say a good way to get a foot in the door is to be active on the site, show other users that you're helpful and that you know your stuff, then opportunities will come. Also, coming to user group meetings (I know you said you were in the US, but this is general advice) and helping others, and perhaps even offer some training, would be good. Basically build your reputation, image, and portfolio and if you're dedicated, honest, and good, jobs will follow.
