What's the best software to backup my iPod to my Mac?

Hi

I recently lost 500gb of tunes from an external drive :-( I'm in the process of retrieving some of these tunes and have many of these lost songs on my various iPods.

Could anyone recommend good software (free or cheap) that will backup my iPods to iTunes on my Macbook?

I used to use PodUtil when I had a PC. What's the best equivalent for Macs?

You mean something that will copy from an iPod to an iTunes library with which the iPod has not been synced with?

Thanks for the speedy reply. Sorry. My passwords keep failing for some reason (IP address) and I have to keep setting up new accounts to get in here (this is my third account!).

Yes. My iPod is not synched because I have too much music to fit on an Ipod and like to control what goes in there.

I'm looking for a PodUtil type program that will enable me to retrieve songs from my Ipod and put them back into my iTunes which was recently decimated when my old hard drive died.
