    Ipod touch 32 GB not charging/not syncing pls help.

    i have a friend of mine who has an ipod touch 32 GB. the ipod touch is not charging in computer. but if u directly charge it from a socket it is working.

    pls help guys.

    PROBLEM: Not Charging ipod touch connected to PC(it also doesnt detect or sync the ipod touch, but charging IPod touch direct to a socket is working.

    more power to our forum.

    Are you using the same cable?
    Try a different USB port.

    ive tried using a different usb port and still it doesnt sync. i used it wd d cable from my iphone and still it doesnt sync.

    wat seems to be d problem?

    not syncng and not charging in laptop but charging in direct socket.

    I am going to assume you are using a PC.
    Try reinstalling iTunes.
    However, it should charge either way.
    And charging from the wall means the iPod itself is ok.

    You might want to try it on another computer.

    weve tried it to a different computer and still it doesnt sync or charge. no issues wd the itunes because it can detect and sync my i phone. but the ipod touch it dsnt sync nor charge.

    pls help guys.

    Don't think you've mentioned whether you've reset the iPod, I mean reset it with iTunes. That'd be my final suggestion, I think. After that. Get it services, if it's under warranty still they may fix it.

    So if the iPod charges direct from a socket it's not a hardware problem.
    And if iTunes syncs your iPhone it's not a Mac/iTunes software issue either.

    It seems what's left is a software issue with your iPod Touch only.
    I would just restart (reboot) the iPod Touch first. That may solve it...

    (I had some weird stability issues fixed that way once or twice.)

    More troubleshooting here...

    thanks for the help. do u have a link on how to reset an ipod? thanks a lot

    i turned it off already quite some time den i turned it on but still it doesnt work. i think reboot is the last chance. but i dont know how. help pls.

    Reboot means power off and then restart, like I said.

    If it doesn't work then I'm afraid the device needs servicing...

    ive tried rebooting it already but still ot doesnt work. maybe it needs servicing. i pod touch cannot be open ryt? so how is the servicing be done? hmmmn. well, wud u suggest shops who is accrdited servce center? 1 yr international warranty for i pods and phones am i ryt? mybe ill reeturn to the shop and ask for details. =)
