this is a strange .. I certainly understand that even in countries such as Niger,Kenya,Botswana can be secured enough people that would afford a mac .. but what about communication? I have no idea how it can be useful to them ..
but Steve Jobs knows![]()
Nothing revolutionary, but it's nice to see Apple keeps broadening their App Store network.
New Countries Added to the App Store
Added: Armenia, Botswana, Bulgaria, Jordan, Kenya, Macedonia, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Niger, Senegal, Tunisia, and Uganda.
Cheers,

hmm not sure what you're about. If one looks at Internet Usage Statistics for Africa (from Internet World Stats .com), for instance, we can see that the continent has an astonishing 2,357.3 % in Use Growth, compared to "only" 420% for the rest of the world.
Kenya and Niger are in the 2,000 % internet growth range, while Botswana is a 'modest' 700%, and so on. Big markets there. And the same goes for mobile communication...
Yes, these countries may be seriously lagging behind in other, much more fundamental areas - like health and education - but everybody there has a mobile phone (in larger urban areas anyway...)
Cheers,
-Michl
