All this because of some logs and analytics and other speculations...

Honestly, while there is increasing evidence that there will be an iPhone OS 4.0 (but then that's a bit like saying after the rain the sun will come, isn't it? after 3.0...), actual specs and features are more wish list material at the moment.

But, yes, background apps and multitasking are way overdue, for a start. Of course the feature was already announced for 3.0...

By now we can safely predict that, eventually, we shall get our knowledge navigator - announced in... 1987.
