Cannot see "Data Cellular Network" menu after installing Etisalat v5.1 ipcc

    Gierran

In the process of unlocking my friends 3G iPhone which is on OS 3.1.2 and 05.11.07 baseband.

Restored the firmware to OS 3.1.2 & activated the phone using the valid Rogers Comm. (Canada) SIM.

Installed etisalat_ae_v5.1.ipcc. Reset network Settings as well.

Phone automatically reboot but I am NOT able to see "Cellular Data Network".

Did the same steps the other day on my 3GS and everything went smooth.

    Please advise at the earliest.

    Thanks

    Nevermind. Pls ignore.

For Rogers Comm., it doesn't show "Cellular Data Network".

However once unlocked and I put in the Etisalat SIM, it shows the desired menu.

    Thanks again

Remember that the ipcc is carrier dependent.
    Stay hungry. Stay Foolish.

    On a Iphone 3GS / 32GB / Honkong factory unlocked (via souq.com) :
with Etisalat iPhone prepaid plan sim
    Updated to 3.1.2
    jailbroken with blackra1n for mac

uninstalled my previous PDAnet with cydia
(removed any previous carrier profiles from benm and unlockit tries!)
applied gierran's method to update etisalat carrier settings (etisalat_ae_v5.1.zip DO NOT FORGET to PRESS the alt key when checking for update on itunes foe mac !!!!)
rebooted ... provider logo and apn settings appeared ... no tethering option YET
THEN went to unlockit in nz ... followed their method with CommCenter ... rebooted ... et voila :

APN settings (Cellular Data Network) and Internet Tethering NOW WORKING !!!

3.1.2 on 3GS jailbroken and (factory) unlocked NOW ROCKZZZ...

    THANKS (to all!)
