    Hi Bushako,

I just saw this thread and would like to share my experience. for iphone you can definitely use GPS without DATA package and it's accurate. I've been using it , with the same method since my 2G phone and after i switched to the 3g one, it works well with a nice blue spot moving. I often use it when driving or I get lost dunno where I am.

For whatever reason u mentioned, get the offlinemap from Cydia (details can't be mentioned here right?), and use GMDL to download the map and convert it to the iphone format. The thing i like most is I could choose wherever I want, details of the map (layers) , and most importantly it uses google map. I have even tested this during my trips elsewhere and before each of my trip I'll make a map of the destination!

There's another xGPS in Cxxxx, but it wasn't that good yet.

    Hi Edmond,
Thank you for the advice. I will check into GMDL and yes its alright to mention Cydia apps i believe aslong as it doesnt have anything to do with methods for cracking or "stealing" Appstore apps.
And i noticed you mentioned 2G iPhone are you referring to the 1st gen iphone or the iphone 3G as your fist iphone? Coz if its the 1st gen then i know for a fact that in doesnt have a GPS chipset.

GMDL is powerful, check it out.

2G iphone is the first gen, u're correct. What I mean is I use the same method in the 2g first gen, even though it doesn't have a GPS, it's still useful for me to check it out the saved google map. When it comes to 3g, it becomes powerful as the GPS spot can be shown on it. The platform in both phones are exactly the same.

    Hi ,

Could Some1 please help me . I have a factory unlocked iphone 3gs 32 gb which i got from australia .
Im running software 3.1.2 and i have already jailbroken the device .
But the problem i seem to face is that whenever i try to add the source Welcome to Cydia.hackulo.us! i keep gettin a bunch of errors . I think this is because of the proxy's here used by etisalat .

Is there any way i can go around this and add sources and use cydia without gettin these really annoying erros .

    Thanks in advance
