    If anyone can send me a du .ipcc I will modify it to enable MMS, the carrier data settings menu and tethering.
    Just checking this out, will update.

    Update! MMS, Data and Tethering are all working. This update has also enabled the option to change carrier settings through the settings menu and also changes the carrier logo.

    Dude there something wrong with this setting now. Everything works well except whenever I make a call there is a pop that says that I have call forward enabled. But when I go to settings and disable any call forwarding it says there is non.

    That is weird. Why would it tell you about call forwarding when you MAKE a call? Did you enable call forwarding before or after the OS 3.0 update? Was it after you installed my modded carrier file? Anyway, there is one setting in the ipcc to do with call worfarding so I witched it from true to false, please try this one and let me know if it makes a difference for you. I attached it below this message. Otherwise you could also try a "reset all settings" in the settings menu.

    We used to face this when hacking the original iPhone.
    It turns out this was from the SIM, especially older ones.
    In fact many of these didn't work on the iPhone.

    I don't know if there is a connection here (since yours works), but just an FYI.

    Well as far as i can remember i made sure that i didnt have any call diverts even before i switched my sim card over to my iphone. And on my iphone i never enabled call forwarding. Ill update the carrier setting now. And if it counts this might be an isolated problem since ive been using the sam old sim card from the past 5years. It could be.

    Alright it worked...no more annoying call forwarding pop ups...thanks man..i called up Etisalat's 101 and their technical staff still have no clue about about the carrier settings for OS 3.0...they think that the old carrier setting will enable the tethering feature but apparently not. Its either that or maybe they are discussing on whether they should enable tethering for us with no additional cost. It would be unfair though since there are no unlimited data plans for iphone to worry about bandwidth consumptions in the first place.

    Guys please help... I did the above instructions since im a PC user, and used the Etisalat MMS & Tethering .ipcc file by Gierran.

    Now, when i tap Set up Internet Tethering , it say's "to enable tethering on this account, contact Etisalat"..
    One thing i've noticed, the photo function (MMS) in SMS disappeared..
    What should i do?

    Tewen this problem has happened to a few people. The problem is caused by conflicting carrier settings I think.

    Did you restore your iPhone backup in iTunes after running the ipcc config patch? That would overwrite some of the carrier settings.

    You can try Settings/General/Reset/Reset All Settings
    You will have to restore your wireless password after that.

    Make sure you always restart your iPhone immediately after applying a carrier settings patch.

    Let me know if that works, please. If it doesn't work, then make sure you have synced your address book to the address book on your computer, and do a clean install of OS 3.0. Then DON'T restore your iPhone backup in tunes. Set it up as a new iPhone and manually sync your address book, all your apps and everything else back. THEN run the .ipcc patch. Let me know how it goes!

    Gierran,sorry for the late reply. I tried restoring my phone backup in itunes after running .ipcc patch.
    I thought everything is okay coz i saw this message from itunes "congratulations, your phone is now unlock". then, i checked my mms function, it was there,
    and i went to settings>general>network, the internet tethering function is there also except when i tapped it, same problem occurs, it say's "to enable internet tethering on this account, contact Etisalat.", so what i did is i reboot my phone again thinking that it will bring me to luck but still nothing happened.
    Then i tried the second option, to reset all the settings and reboot again,then both mms and internet tethering disappeared as well as the % beside the battery..
    So I did update again the ipcc file and again internet tethering will appear but not functioning and no MMS function.
    So what I did was I set manually the MMS in Data Network which was being suggested by ederici which is suppose to be like this:

    MMSC=mms/servlets/mms
    Proxy=10.12.0.32:8080
    APN =mms
    USERNAME=mms
    PASS=mms

    The strange thing is everytime i am doing this setting (since it doesnt appear when the internet tethering function is there), MMS will show but the internet tethering function will disapper..
    Now, im on the last option which is clean installation of 3.0 and still hoping for the luck.
    I will update you again after having the result.
    BTW, FYI , im using factory unlocked iphone…maybe it has to do with that issue..

    Thanks Gierran for the concern,

    I think it is always much better to setup the iphone as a new phone after doing any updates especially for those who had jailbroken previously as this will reduce the amount of errors and save alot of cluttered space due to the left over from Cydia/installer.
