I was using a theme called Deep. Now I'm using a theme called Smoog - with a few icons from the Deep theme I transferred over.



Smoog can be found in BigBoss & Planet-iPhones and MacCiti repository's, and Deep can be found in iSpazio and MacCiti repos. I used Cydia to get both themes.

If the first directory doesn't work - try this other directory:

/var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundles/Etisalat_ae.bundle



Stick the images in there, if that doesn't work shout up in the tread. Also - still put the images in both directories, because different iPhone models (Like HK or IT) might look in different directory's.

EDIT: @hariskt, you used the same dimensions for the du logo as you did my Etisalat logo - you don't need to do that. The image should reach right up to the end of the border on the left and right side. That way other icons like the WiFi indicators ect aren't pushed along the top border as much. I changed the colour and re-posted them fixed. I made it white on black bars, and black on white bars.

if itunes did not update your carrier settings, you won't be able to display etisalat or du logo.
in this case, copy the content of the attached zip file to this path.


/Systems/Library/Carrier Bundles/


reboot and volla there you will get etisalat logo.

Hey Walidn...I use a 1st gen iphone....tried to follow your instructions...no luck

Wonder what's holding up the update...I am using firmware 2.2

I still get the same old ETIS... that's it

I wan't sure if this would work on the first gen or not. Has any other 1st gen phones tried this?

am using 1st generation iphone or 2G iPhone, 2.2 firmware no themes. on the first place i installed MIM application to change operator text ( Make it Mine ), then get accross this web page for custom carrier bundles and from this forum i got the logo and created this zip file it contains 2 folders that should be copied under /Systems/Library/Carrier Bundles/. am talking about the 42401 & 42402 folders.

i can help you more if you tell me step by step what are you doing? or give more details about your specification or call me for GOD sake if you are in dubai i will do it myself.
past some screen shot it will help.

Walid....Thanks for the tip...I was able to install MIM from Modmyi.. The operator text is now fixed to virtually anything that you key in ! However even after copying folders 42401 and 42402 into the path specified and respringing, I do not see the Etisalat logo...any suggestions ?

am not sure what is a respringing, but it require a reboot. turn off the switch it on.

am really sorry to hear that, but it is been successfull for a lot of us, please give more details about your phone to help you, and am out of options, it should work if your doing all the steps correct.
