    so the new iPhone does not has the GPS chip!!!! thats really disappointing i thought it has the chip as the other mobiles, so whats the new thing that made SJ stand and say proudly we added GPS!!

    you can get yourself a bluetooth GPS receiver, pair it with your iPhone
    u should be kidding me.

    the last thing i want is to lose the internet connection when im lost in Dubai, and with their everyday new roads, ur GPS should update every half second or u will miss the correct exit.

    another question, if say i had data plan, how will i guarantee to have internet connection in far places like Hatta?

    the new 3G phone does have GPS.
    It uses aGPS, which combines both the old technic and GPS.

    But you need the Internet to download the maps.
    You are right Medopal, its not a good GPS solution.
    This might be resolved with new software, like TomTom's,
    Stay hungry. Stay Foolish.

    no GPS software yet for Iphone 3G except google maps which not a real GPS, it works with both AGPS and GPS, you require internet connection wifi or data plan, to download the maps, it is like the one in blackberry but you can search the location of you contact if you saved them.
