A store like 'Virgin' selling stuff illegally..That's quite risky for a brand like 'Virgin'..I think it must be some smart manager here trying to make a quick sale to achieve his targets..I wonder what Richard Branson has to say about this..

yep exactly! grey blue green... does it really matter? love apple and their products but hate the way they do business... i have no problem ordering an iphone and unlocking it.
they get paid dont they? AT&T dont loose out cos im not in their market! So wats the problem??????
- No Warranty for a product for which you will pay a huge premium
- No Support (I know there is lack of support for Apple products but still a legitimate products has more chance of gettin support)
- No way to be sure you phone "WILL" work at all times or it will be iBricked
- It is illegal as per Apple though it is debatable
There is a good argument to be made for not buying gray market, and that is that the local Apple representation does not get anything out of you buying that Apple product. It seems to me that if you want Arabic support on Apple products, Arabized manuals etc. then you would buy locally from authorized dealers. Yes I know that Apple products here are expensive, but perhaps part of the reason for that is that the cost of localization has to be carried by someone. If Apple Inc or Apple Europe is not doing the localization job where should the cost then be recovered from? If everyone bought gray market, there would be no localization, I suspect.
We're not talking about AT&T here, we're talking about Apple.
Seems to me that if we complain about not enough local support, not enough local marketing, not enough localization, etc. then buying gray market, or from outside the region, we're being somewhat counter productive...
