Custom Carrier iOS 4

hello guys, i just updated my iPhone 3GS to iOS4 and jailbroken it with Pwnage 4.01 (devteam) and unlocked it with ultrasn0w... however the Custom Carrier Settings file (ipcc) Etisalat 5.1 is not working on iOS4.. any idea or workaround on this one? thanks in advance

Hi All

Updated to 4.0, on iphone 16G Etisalat mail not working. Tried to re-install Custom 5.1 settings file, but iTunes 9.2 is now looking for a *.ipsw not a *.ipcc file

Tried a simple name change of file extension , but doesn't work

any thoughts?

More from my earlier post. Found I had not enabled carrier setting correctly. I can now see (and apparently load) the *.ipcc ver 5.1 file BUT it does not work under os4.0

Does it need perhaps to be renumbered in view of earlier posts re 1.6 to 5.1 numbering - did etisalat jump some numbers for OS4.0?

i just upgraded my Iphone 3Gs to OS4, DU carrier(its NO factory lock ), and i have NO internet access through 3g network, only i can use WiFi ... i tried this ipcc file setting, but my ITunes 9.2 does not respond as shown in the instruction in this forum, i have Windows 7 Ultimate ...

any help please ...

I have an iPhone 3GS running iOS 3.1.3. It's jailbroken but I've been facing the "Sorry, do not have enough credit" error although I do have credit. I'm just wondering, if I upgrade to iOS4 will the phone still be jailbroken, and will the error go away?

Guys, we're looking into a new carrier file.
In the mean time, you can disable data directly in iOS4.

quixpeed, check the FAQ to see how to enable iTunes to take an ipcc file.
koopa, you will need to jailbreak the phone again.
Look into that.
If you upgrade to iOS4, turn off data.
If not, check the FAQ on how to turn it off in 3.x

So, I'm guessing there isn't a fix just yet! I have an Apple unlocked phone, using an Etisalat pay as you go sim, the .ipcc worked on OS3 with not being able to get into the Cellular Data Network settings, but it doesn't work after updating to iOS4. I can see it in my iTunes, it says it is updating, but after restarting and doing all the neccessay, still no editable settings for Cellular Data Network. Anyone have any info or is this just a waiting game for Etisalat to send out the new ipcc?

Really thank u for ur help, I tried the link its working but there is no DU carrier included in the list, so does du and etisalat of UAE use the same settings , bcoz when I used etisalas profile it worked but I'm afraid it will charge extra on me... ??

For iOS4, there is a switch that turns off data.
The file isn't needed for that.
What the ipcc will offer is MMS settings and the logo
