Tethering on iPhone Etisalat

I'm sure there must be a load of posts about this but I can't seem to find them, I also tried to post this under "iPhone," but it said "Not accepting threads."

I think I have enabled carrier bundles for iTunes (Not entirely sure how to tell for certin but I followed the instructions!)
I have downloaded the file: etisalat_ae_v1.6.ipcc, unzipped it and saved it to my desk top.

When I go into iTunes and hold down shift and click "Update" the browser window opens but will only look for .ipsw files so will not find my .ipcc file.

Any tips? I'm really struggling to enable Tethering on my iPhone 3G (Etisalat)

You're right, tethering has been discussed before.

Regarding you posting in iPhone forum. I just tried it with a regular user account and it worked fine.

Tethering doesn't work on Etisalat.
As for the carrier settings, if u see the Etisalat logo in the top, then it worked.
If u can't see the file in iTunes, then u need to enable that in iTunes.
Read the procedure.

Yes indeed. I have taken the etisalat signatures and updated the emiratesmac custom etisalat carrier settings. You can download it, as well the the new etisalat file from here.
