SaudiMac iPhone 3G released in Egypt, without Arabic, disabled GPS and no Egypt App Store expect gray market egyptian iPhone 3G to reach Saudi Arabia and UAE soon

| I don't see how you are going to be able to install apps on the iPhone 3G in Egypt... without an Egypt iTunes store. Unless they are planning to bring one out shortly. Agree it's a pretty crippled release. There are shops selling unlocked iphone 3Gs here in Egypt, I just don't know how they are doing it. iPhones can be legally bought unlocked in places like Belgium and Hong Kong, so they could be from there, I'm not sure. |

| I don't understand why anyone would buy a locked iphone, I mean they have them tied down to those limited features. Here is the same old story with AT&T, and the only way around that is to ship phones from the factory without AT&T being involved. |
