Just a note to mention that HSBC here gives me the best banking experience I've had in 20 years.

Full internet banking as well, works fine with the latest Firefox and Snow Leopard.

[disclaimer: I have no affiliation with them other than being a satisfied customer etc. etc.]
    Cheers,
    -Michl

Would agree with Michi that HSBC internet banking is good. They used to be the worst but have finally woken up and woken up well. I had used their 'Hexagon' previously which was terrible.

Other than that, Mashreq is good and works with Safari as well as Citibank. I use Invest bank extensively both for business and private accounts and their interface is ok while not very slick.

Wonder if anyone has tried the 'Develop' Menu in Safari and switched the user agent to IE 6, 7 or 8 which are the options there besides User agent for FF and even Opera...No Netscape there though. Would agree with most posters here that Bank IT people stay 'safe' and would support IE as the browser of choice for their customers. Although the browser technology is now well advanced and it would perhaps take some doing for them to make their websites usable by a wider range of browsers.

Yep, and 6 months later I haven't changed my opinion...

To be fair, I found one feature that does not work well on HSBC website, specifically bank transfer requests, but that is only with Firefox (my browser of choice otherwise).

I called customer service at the time and a very knowledgeable gentleman advised me to used Safari instead, and that solved the problem. (Still works now, using the latest versions of Mac OS X and Safari.)
    Cheers,
    -Michl
