Didnt need their FAQs. Trust me it works. I work for them, it works.

Lloyds DID work well with Macs up until 8 or so months ago. I have no idea after that. I dont think they'd back track. So it should still work.

Yeah just because it works doesn't mean it's officially supported. Like that awful bank I use (what was it called? Oh yes that terrible Emirates Bank) - firefox used to work even though it was never supported, but now it doesn't. You can still log in with both safari and firefox, but some features are no longer working.

I'll update and refine the list as people tell me their experiences.

    Mashreq

Actually Ive had no issues at all with Mashreq ebanking in Safari ...the same however cannot be said of Mashreq Securities...However, Mashreq ebanking is excellent. I found it far better than say Abn Amro which is downright bad.

Barclays will introduce Safari support late in 2010 when the core banking app is upgraded. The problem we have is that our current application is waaaaay too old and enhancing it is futile. Plus there is very little money available for that sort of thing.

@Gierran - go to Citi, easily the best bank that operates in this region.

Yes, Citi is so good that they have 3 branches in all of Abu Dhabi for your banking needs, charge you fees for credit cards even if you dont use it, have higher rates for personal facilities...

    Best bank ever.

Hey everyone - thanks for all your responses. I'm trying to put together an article for shuffle on online banking in the UAE before the end of the weekend, so if anyone has anything else to add about their online banking experiences I would love to hear them!

If you use any local bank, I'd really like to know if Safari and Firefox work for you.

Between Emirates Bank and Mashreq Bank, I like Mashreq interface better, but just the pissed that the max transactions I can see in it is 3 months, whereas on Emirates Bank ebanking I can take it out for 6 years.

But, apart from that mashreq kicks Emirates a$$ bigtime!!

Actually I had nothing but issues with wells fargo back in my college days. NBAD's banking system is simple. only a complete moron would make a mistake using it, yet it is capable of handling anything you would need that legally doesnt need a signature.

Kind of like OSX. Simple and powerful. It just works.
