Please use some real life servers, i.e. not Kuwait or something. Use London or Frankfurt.

Also remember that etisalat traffic always goes through the proxy, which masks speed problems.

    Here's mine:

Saturday, 16:30 on a 4Mb/512 DSL. It is clear that etisalat is not having enough backbone capacity. Embarassing given the prices they charge.

Etisalat has always been terrible in Internet services AND prices. It never stops amazing me... Even if there is no capacity in the dsl/cm backbone for new Internet subscribers, they'll just indifinately add them.

My latest test... but somehow I doubt these numbers.. cause let's say im downloading a 100mb file right... i see my speed always between 120KB & 140KB. So this is to say it's not where near 2882 or 288KB per second...

sometimes I'm downloading a file from rapidshare (and I have a premium account) or a yousendit.com file...

I use iGetter to download stuff. But even if I'm just downloading manually from Safari then it would be around 100KB at most maybe 120KB so I'm not sure if those figures we are seing are actually accurate at all.

did you try direct downloads? try downloading a test file from UAELAB (Emirates Telecom Lab) and report your speed here please.
