Hey Blue!!
Whattup?!!

I'm sure somebody got Blue's password and said that.
It appears to be a pretty common problem.
So I'm sure Apple will resolve this soon.

I hope Apple are aware of this very frustrating problem.

Is it possible to remove V 10.5.3?

hey blue, when you having the problem with Safari, can you open up a terminal window and type in there :

nslookup "www.yahoo.com" (without the double quotes)

you should get something like that :

Server: X.X.X.X
Address: X.X.X.X#53

Non-authoritative answer:
"www.yahoo.com" canonical name = "www.yahoo-ht3.akadns.net"
Name: "www.yahoo.com"
Address: 87.248.113.14

will it be able to resolve the name to the correct IP's ? if not it will be clearly a DNS issue, whats ur configured DNS ? in System Prefernces --> Networking.

if your DNS are the address of your router, check the DNS settings on ur router.

sorry if this has been covered. but worth mentioning it.

I have a windows XP box in the livingroom (like 6 years old) and it's working flawlessly. Also had a few friends' laptops up here and no issues. all running windows XP and one running Vista.

My iBook has no issues as well. Its running Tiger.

no, i can say tht tiger has issues cuz my frnd's having them, and i've seen em, so i can tell tht they're the same, she isnt up here so she cant contribute... hmm, its probbly the SAFARI update and not the whole update package as a whole that is causing the problem... but then firefox not finding the server dsnt add up :S this doesnt make sense at all... and firefox is facing the same problem, unlike what the heading suggests...
