Angry Opening ports Gpon and Aztech

    Hi Guys...
Recently Etisalat installed the Gpon Modem here connected to the router Aztech DS605EW.

I have been trying to open some doors to work aMsn and Azureus but it doesnt work because there is no DSL conection.
I have been looking online possible solutions but cant find anything.
If anyone know please let me know.

    Thanks

My advice is to dump the Aztech modem (complete POS) and replace it with an Apple Airport Extreme Base Station or Time Capsule configured to do PPPoE which is what is required to connect to the Etisalat GPON (eLife) terminal. With this setup, it's much easier to manage my network and firewall settings, and it works automatically for various MobileMe services. I'm using this with the 30Mbps eLife service and have no complaints.

In my opinion, both the Aztech router and AirPort extreme suck big time. You'll be better off buying a Cisco/Linksys router and flashing it with DD-WRT.
