| Free wifi hotspots I know a lot of EmiratesMac-ers are looking for wifi wherever they go so they can keep up with what's new on the site, right? I thought why don't we try to keep a list of free wifi hotspots in the UAE. If you post a reply to this message, I'll make a list of all hotspots in this post. Dubai 1) MOREcafe, Garhoud Area, next to Welcare Hospital 04-????? I'll get it later 2) Café Céramique 3) Media Lounge in Radisson SAS in DMC AbuDhabi 1) Café Céramique 2) ??? | its common sense really nobody would allow free unrestricted access to the internet from their access point, coz it wastes bandwidth, and more importantly, some random person can access incorrect things like kiddie pr0n, etc and the owner of the net connection could probably get into trouble. I've actually been to several cafes, and sheesha cafes, etc with wifi but all have password protected connections. |

| If you are in/visit Al Ain "The Hut" upstairs in Al Jimi Center has free wi-fi. At least it did when I was there in April. I've been out over the summer and haven't been able to check. "The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf" also used to have free wi-fi, but I believe they've all switched to iZone as well. Fin Kename |

| Starbucks uses iZone. The French Connection (Shaikh Zayed Road) has a password protected Wi-Fi network, but you get a password with any order. The same deal applies at Café Barbara in the Crown Plaza on Shaikh Zayed Road. The Fairmount Hotel and the Dusit Hotel offer free Wi-Fi in their lobbies. |
