I'm not sure we're a cult, but we are a very dedicated bunch. I hope we can capitalize on that through the User Group and for members to be able to get together regularly to share experience, teach each other stuff, look at products, and have fun.

Mac User Groups or MUGs is a phenomenon about as old the Mac itself and it's huge in like US and Europe, but not here.

yea - i agree ... i meant it generally, once a mac - always a mac. but then i also know a few people who worked at apple - loved the product but found greener pastures (like starting up their own ventures).

I do have some friends here who wonder what the big deal is about mac and they have a misconception that mac are used only by graphic designers. i'm planning to invite them to come along to the usergroup meets and help them switch ...oops I mean "understand".

I'm really looking forward to the meets. I hope my health can support me as I would get to go out and meet some cool people and learn so much more.

Count me in you guys, i would love to share everything i have to offer, for like Fatima said "once a mac, will always be a mac

" i have converted so many people in the past 4 years, and i am trying to convert more people here in the UAE. in the states it was so easy, but it was the money that was the issue for so many, as for here. its trying to get through to people more than the issue of money :P but yaaa... when ever u dudes and dudets ever think of meeting up as groups i would always be more than happy to tag along and share everything with you guys... i get way tooo excited, even more excited than when i was in the states. but the experience i had in the states is what made me this way. cause after hanging around real Mac Fans and attending there parties and Apple store opennings and even attending the night of the Pnather when it released it changed my life
