Since I am new here, could you guys give me some info about what you do at these gatherings and stuff or point me to a thread where I can see for myself.

I used to be a part of a huge automotive community when I live in US and we always used to meet up and shoot the breeze about cars and check out each other rides. But I don't see myself lugging my MacPro to one of these meetings.

Reminds me of my old Eclipse car group in AZ. Nice.

There are 3 different kinds of gatherings. One is the official monthly gathering of the EMUG members. I am one but sadly (and shamefully) have never been to one, so someone who has been to one will chime in.

The 2nd is the get together type, where its open to everyone, and we get together at a set place/time, with or without Macs (usually some show up with them and some without) and just hang out.

The 3rd is a general gathering with a specific reason in mind. Like this thread, we'll be getting together for a Ramadan dinner, which is basically at sunset (6:30ish) to break bread and hang out.

I don't know if you were around that time but if you remember Club DSM AT (For Automatic's) I am the one who started it. I was in DSM scene from 1995-2000 then I got involved with Subaru's and was the founder of i-Club.com.

Very funny. I got my 1st eclipse in 2001, it was a 3G so I was with Club 3G AZ (Later Desert Diamonds) I then sold her and got a 96 5 spd GST. Like 2002-2003. I knew alot of the DSM AT guys. There was a guy named... I wanna say Scott, who had a white talon, none turbo, automatic. You were in AZ?
