For some reason I really had to sleep like no tomorrow.
I really wanted to.
I think I'm coming down with something.
Probably a virus.

Wish I ran on OSX.

I think no one went, we were at MOE. Our plan was see the new Mummy movie at 3:15 and swing by Apre, but we had to see the 4:15 showing because SOMEONE was busy with family today and by the time it ended it was too late.

How was it? anyone go?

I met gajanan at 5.30pm, I just showed up for 2 minutes or so. We agreed to meet at next EMUG meeting also.

Heya folks. Thanks for coming zaid. But honestly i feel it was a bit of mis-organization on my behalf. Next time we'll have the meetup at a family oriented place and not in a pub. Sorry didnt mention apre was a licensed restaurant.

I was there till around 9:00pm but after zaid no one else came, so i assumed something must have come up. Maybe next time

For me the message was clear.
But I'm coming down with something.
I really had my heart set on meeting with everyone.

But I think a family oriented place might be a better choice next time.
I hope it works out next time.
I think a non-EMUG get together is great.

That's not the reason we didn't show up, but yes, we've been through that exact same thing with our EMUG meetings - live and learn

Thanks for those who helped organize it and if something similar is arranged in the future we really hope we can attend.

That would be a reason some might not attend, including myself.

But that wasnt what happened here. when we saw that it was getting late the most basic thing would have been to call and let you guys know... how many people here have the other's number? I dont, I used to, like 2 members. but How many people had the organizer's number?

Another issue I think was the location in general, even we were horrified by the amount of people at MOE. It was insane! Maybe a slower paced place... Sumo Sushi in Jumairah comes to mind. Seemed like a good centralized meeting spot, but after fighting for 40 minutes for a parking space... I changed my mind. lol.

As for the people who were ill, Its going around, 1/2 my family are ill, so I guess it's that time of year again.

It was just alot of bad things that came together I guess.
