Zooming in OS X using Mighty Mouse

Is it possible to use just the mighty mouse to zoom in OS X desktop? I have a wireless Mighty Mouse and sometimes I sit away from the iMac screen and would like to be able to read the name of icons and files from a distance using the zoom function, but I to have press the command/control key on the keyboard while using the scroll ball on the mouse which means carrying the keyboard around too. Any suggestions?
