| Apple has two adapters that would work then: mini-DVI to VGA and mini-DVI to S-video. Unless you misunderstood the salesperson, I don't understand what he was talking about you not being able to connect, of course you can connect. |

| basically you need these two. the mini DVI you can get from iStyle (it is the standard Apple connector). I saw the second one in Hyper Panda (maybe Carrefour, but not sure) I'm sure you you'll figure out how to connect everything once you see what you have. Notice how the black cable has a DVI on one end and a HDMI on the second. |
