Mac Pro power upgrades
I received today the ATI Radeon HD3870 & elgato turbo.264.

Like many, I always questioned Apple's choice of GPUs in all their offered hardware. They're always too weak or generations old compared to PC. Now the ATI 3870 is not the latest... but it better than the Nvidia 7300GT (Doom 3 64FPS versus 140+FPS). It should offer better video performance overall. Its also quiet so far.

As for the elgato turbo.264, this tiny USB device speeds up video conversion when converting to iPod, iPhone, AppleTV and YouTube supported video. A quick test conversion converted a sample video in HALF the time it took the Mac Pro to convert the same file.

Choice is limited for Mac users in the hardware area... but I am happy with the above so far

Sounds like a story to me, for Shuffle, and of course a lot of pictures.
