MacBook Pro Ram

I want to upgrade the RAM of my 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo 15.4" MacBook Pro. I currently have 1.5GB of RAM. I want to upgrade it to 3GB. So basically I am planning to chuck out the 512MB stick and put in a 2GB module to add onto my existing 1GB stick of RAM.

Now, I've been looking around online and some sites say that my model only supports max 2GB of RAM and some sites say that it supports 3GB. Could someone please help me out here?

I'd trust somewhere like Crucial.com, they say 2GB. Now remember there may be a difference between Apple's recommended max and what you can actually put in there. Often you can put in more RAM than Apple says is the max, but then you are obviously on your own if something happens.
