Time Capsule has arrived

Hi guys, just received my 500 GB Time Capsule from Amazon US via Shop and Ship... It looks good and has a nice weighty feel to it.

On the back of the unit it says that it can accepts 100 - 240 V, so no problems there. The only thing I am worrying about is a little sticker around the power cord that shows 2.5 A 130V. Do you think this is going to be a problem for me? I don't want to fry the machine or set my house on fire!

Any feedback is appreciated!

Don't they sell them here (UAE)? With EMUG membership you'd get 7% discount.

Quite possible - I've not made it to an iStyle since last weekend, but hadn't seen it reported anywhere that they are available yet here in UAE.

While I'm all about supporting local Mac resellers like iStyle one thing that I don't like about living here is that you always seem to be at the mercy of the shops and their stocks. Its been a month now that I'm waiting for them to get the Apple TV... After having lived in the states and uk for 5 years, where you can order something from hundreds of miles away and have it the next morning, i can not take any more 'thursday we will get more stock inshalla' week in week out...

In the end I orderded it via shop n ship...

Regarding the time capsule, I know it is used with time machine to automatically back up yours and other macs. But could you uses it as an normal external hard drive on a network? i.e. to keep my itunes library on it not as a back up but as a storage?

Yes you can.
I have an Airport with a USB hard drive (which is essentially the same thing).
And I have my iTunes running off that.

Time Machine is an extra benefit.
