Yes, after x-ray they directed me to the man who asked for invoice then 5%. Still a whole lot cheaper than buying here, and specs so much better. Very happy!

Very weird. I've noticed that items that I have shipped and HAVE the value declared on any document are charged a 5% tax. I've started asking shippers to not send me any documentation. Everything comes via email.

The Apple.com store didnt declare the value of my iMac on any papers. only actually IN the box. so maybe thats it.

Anyway you look at it though, you do end up with a better machine for a ALOT less.

Just an option, so everyone is aware. I learned this recently. If you order any electronics or anything that would be charged custom tax, use your office name and get it delivered there (Dont mention your name anywhere except the billing address). Offices have a import code that they renew every year, and are exempted from tax here in the UAE. Just my two cents
