Lightbulb iMac Flat Panel Mod DIY........

Hi All,

I have become the happy owner of 2X 17' Flat Panel iMac G4's ( 1.25Ghz, 80GB, Super D, AE), now I have my plans to put them to good use, but as I was considering the purchase I remembered an article I read about a candy colored CRT iMAC Mod. that involved the inclusion of a touch screen interface to the screen, so I thought if it could be done to the older iMac why couldn't it be done to the flat panel iMAC? the inclusion of an infrared beam on the screen ( like most PDA's & smart fones) and try to create an alternative input method for the FP iMAC ?

Now I am not the best person for this DIY stuff but i would like to explore this option & I am one for experimentation ( controlled experimentation, I don't want to damage my nice iMac)

But non the less if this could be done on a FP iMac I can see a range of uses for such a Mod.

Imagine a free standing iMac FP with no keyboard or mouse and input is through the screen, it would look kool + it would occupy even less space, what else?....did I mention it would be cool?.... I think its a good Mod to try..... so I present my case to you!!! People of The MAC, I would like to hear from you, even if you think I'm Crazy I'd still like to hear it..
