Looking for external HD

Hi, hope this goes here!!

I need an external hd, I have a 15" MBP and want a nice external hd to hold movies, games, things like that.

I'm looking for something quite cost effective, thin enough to be practically portable in a regular laptop 'skin', quiet and fast.

I spotted the Iomega 320GB on the mac homepage and I think it suits but perhaps somebody has some experience or a second opinion? Thanks!

L

I'm not sure if they have anything that size, however behind the El Dorado theater in Abu-Dhabi there is a long line of nothing but computer shops, cheap. very cheap. I have bought 2 external HDs (as my ibook is only 30 gb) and they have worked flawlessly for almost a year now.

I know that they have 40, 80. and 120 gigs. I never needed any bigger so I never asked. They are toshiba drives that are put into a case of your choice (I use the black VAIO case but theu also have a nic titanium brished one that would go well with the MBPs color.

It would be worth it to go down there and ask around. Good luck!

I disagree. I've had many LaCie external disks of different sizes and models and they've always been good to me.
