@MohamadAkkad, you were lucky that iStyle accepted to change it with only 1 dead pixel - good customer service that! Because Apple's policy doesn't oblige them too...
I did not replac it yet, with istyle it will take 10 days. I may not replac it.

The trick is, if a LCD has, say, 4 dead pixels (unusual) it is almost guaranteed that the replacement will better.

But if a LCD has only 1 dead pixel, then the replacement may be the same, or worse(!)

Personally I would not replace it - and esp. if it takes such a long time...

Did you try the various methods suggested to fix it?

Otherwise, previous arguments still stand. And, chances are, the longer you wait the harder it'll be to convince iStyle...

Hi all, I need to know if the dead pixel will affect the other pixels? Any idea about that? Am asking because I will move back to Syria and I will ship the iMac to Syria too.

No it won't. This isn't a kind of contagious disease (just some damaged transistors...)

My macbook screen seems to be fading from the left side.
It is definitely increasing, as it started at the bottom only, and now has become wider and higher on the screen.

I took a photo of the screen with the screen saver in black, and in a dark room, to show the extent.

    Please advise.

These are no dead pixels - either a loose or damaged connection, or worse a damaged LCD, or GPU...

What happens when you pinch the screen? Anyway you'll need to take it for repair for sure. Good luck.

(Last time I've seen these kind of symptoms - on a white Macbook - Apple replaced the motherboard...)
    Cheers,

How long has this been happening?
    Is this machine under warranty?
This should be covered with the warranty.

It is a separate issue than the dead pixels case.
