    Exclamation 5400 vs 7200 rpm

    Hi Guys,

I have a MBP early 2007 model. it is equipped with a 5400 rpm harddisk and I have been hearing some ticking from the harddisk .. looks like it will die soon.

So I am think of replacing it

Do you recommend that I look for a 7200 rpm one? as it is faster or I won't feel the difference since my motherboard doesn't support it? or does it? I am not sure :s

You will definitely feel the difference...

You might want to check out this report on BareFeat:

(or more recent ones, but the speed comparison is still relevant)
