SSD (Solid State Drive) Anyone know where I can buy one??

Hi

I want to buy a SSD to install into my MBP. Does anyone know where I can buy one Dubai or Abu Dhabi? I have tried the resellers listed on the Arab Business Machines website. Some don't sell them and others can order them in for a ridiculous premium.

I was quoted AED 3700 for a 128GB SSD!!!! I can get the same drive for AED 1200 -1800 from the UK. Unfortunately I am not in the UK nor is anyone coming over soon.

Really frustrating how we pay a serious premium for pretty much all electronics in this part of the world.

Where's a good place to buy regular PC components, anywhere in Bur Dubai/Deira that anyone knows of?

If not, get an Aramex Shop & Ship account.

Happened to meet one guy who bought it online very cheap. Either souq or amazon.. got it for around 1500 dhs including te courier charges.

I was wondering if you managed to get your hands on a SSD for you MBP?
Two weeks ago I had a talk with the iStore service center and they charged 300AED to install a 250GB SSD - brand unknown.
I know that I get an Intel topmodel 250GB SSD back in Denmark for less than 2000 AED and install it myself.
But if you found a nice place please advice.
