    Suddenly Macbook has become slow

    Till a few days back, my macbook was perfect. Suddenly it has become extremely slow and the applications takes ages to load. When I see the activity monitor, it shows application not responding but a few minutes later it is back to reasonable speed. When ever I try to launch a new application it really slows down.

    Can anyone suggest what has to be done to get back my macbook to it's old speed.

    Is this for all applications?
    Do you have any open applications when this happens?
    You might want to open a new user account and test things from there.
