The pretty obvious answer - the ONLY reason u get slow speeds because U SHARE WIFI channel between 3 devices - so count uself : divide pretty much theoretical 54 MB/s (for G) or 100MB/s for N to 3. So u know what u get now ,right?
So max what u CAN HOPE FOR is about 16Mbyte/sec for G and 33 Mbyte/sec for N. AGAIN in THEORY! Because Windows/MAc not pretend to be smart and use advanced caching/buffering as well as you router - u might reach something better. BUT. Each WDS use Wireless spectrum as well and must be counted as another device i your setup.... so no surprise u know......
Till today ONLY solution is CABLE! and gigabyte ethernet switch (or in future 10G Ethernet). Forget about wireless - its toys for kids...
/* all these things we'll one day swallow whole and fade out again and fade out again....
Oh yeah sure, using repeaters / wireless bridges only yields to sorry disappointment, I fully agree with that. Been there, done that, cried waiting and waiting...
But I wouldn't discount using a single wireless base station - great to free yourself from cable. As I mentioned earlier I'm getting nearly the same speed with the AEX n than with cable i.e. about 60 Mb/s for download, 15 for upload... that's screaming fast to me!
Cheers,
