You're of course entitled to that view and to a large extent I agree with you. But I guess I also think that we'll have newbies (to the site, how it works, how to find stuff, etc) on this site all the time, and with that attitude we run the risk of alienating many of those users, which is something we don't want to do. Hi,
I absolutely dont have any idea of how to make my mms work.I have tried every settings mentioned on different sites but the results are the same.And whenever I try to download something using safari it says that safari can't download this page,then when I save edge settings I get a problem in sending SMS,it shows error sending message.I just dont know what to do?Should I go to an apple service store?Will that help?If you know any of the iPhone service centres in Dubai please tell me.

So just to get started again:

1. For Safari and any data application such as youtube, mail etc. you will require a mobile data subscription which is avaialble in different packages or on the go. Call 101 to check it or call 125 to subscribe.

2. For MMS you need the MMS subscription. MMS is just ulilizing the same protocol but it does not mean the MMS is working if Safari is working. Again call 101 to check it or call 125 to subscribe.

Now go to google. Type "etisalat mms settings" and on the first page you will find the Manual settings for MMS (for unsupported handsets). Klick on the link. It will show you all settings in details!

Man, be creative. Please.

Firstly you don't have the manners of how to talk to a girl,secondly I started this topic again after Reading everyones replies and trying them on my phone but nothing worked and as far as creativity or using my brain is concerned I have googled on this topic many times also but nothing helped because the information given there is incomplete and after doing all that only I found this blog and asked for help but I don't wanna continue visiting here where people are like you.Who makes fun of others instead of helping them.If everything is working fine with your iPhone it doesn't mean that it will do the same with everyone elses also.Anyway thanks a lot for the way you treated a new visitor and thanks for all your help.

Hi priyam. Sorry you feel that way but please don't judge the entire community (almost 3000 right now ) by your experience with one user.

Welcome to the site.
Hope you resolved your problem.

Larsd has always been helpful on this site, and he was the only person to respond (despite his impatience.)
For new users, its hard to look for a solution when you don't know what your looking for.
But Larsd was frustrated because there was a lot of discussion about this.
But there are some unique cases, some times.

BTW, we usually don't know who is a girl and who is a boy.
In fact, the majority here are boys.
But you can surly find some great girls here that will share your interests.

Hmm... I guess we usually assume that someone is a guy, which we shouldn't do unless we're sure. But in our very mixed-cultural part of the world it's not always easy to know, even if you see a real name. Sorry about that

Its not about being a girl or a guy,even if its a guy why should he talk to him in such a rude way and why are you all saying sorry for what someone else did and I didn't asked for his advice personally either.If he is so impatient and is bored of seeing the same topic being discussed again and again then he just shouldn't reply and ignore it.

I'm not sure how used you are to discussion forums like this, but when you post a question, anyone can jump in and help. There's really nothing we can (or want to) do about that. The community helps out, that's the beauty of it. But it's also the downside, in more than one ways. Anyone can answer so it happens that they do so even if they perhaps shouldn't for whatever reason. We also have to be careful not to discourage replying. Users need to feel they can and should reply, otherwise the site won't be of much use. But it's a delivate balance to strike and sometimes it doesn't happen the right way, I'm sure. Using a forum such as this requires understanding and patience on both sides.

And as far as I am concerned I didnt know that you are a girl. And if I knew you are a girl I would have replied in exactly the same way because believe it or not: The settings are mentioned here in detail. Several times. And if you cannot make use of the stated information then maybe there is something wrong with the way you approach the problem and this is not the boards fault here. I think you are not ready for the internet yet because noone made fun of you. Does or did your teacher talk about the same topic every day? I guess not. Otherwise you would probably not be able to write right now. Despite all these facts there is something called Netiquette which defines the rules of such a discussion board and you did not follow these simple rules. You can also not blame the police after you get caught stealing a car. You do something wrong and you expect standing ovations?!

I didnt mean to offend someone but its really tiring. However I will take your advise and ignore such requests in the future.
