Hi,

iPhone in general doesnt have MMS support, but it can still be done. Do you have installer on your phone? If you do, just install SwirlyMMS or something similar to that.

Once you have it, just look for a general MMS settings for Etisalat, and you should be able to configure it.

Etisalat, and for that matter no carrier would have MMS settings for the iPhone, as it doesnt support it. But if you have the 3rd party application, you can do it.

Cheers and good luck

Ben

What I read on the internet, the settings for MMS are the following:

APN: mms
User: mms
Pass: mms

If that doesnt work, just google Etisalat MMS settings.

Also, set up EDGE at the Settings - General - Network - EDGE :

APN: etisalat.ae

and leave user and pass blank,

Cheers

Ben

EDIT:

I just noticed you might need another settings for Swirly MMS, so here is all I found:

Code:
mms mms mms 10.12.0.30 http://mms/servlets/mms
Info comes from:

MMS Settings for various MMS Service provider (MMSC)

FWIW; I'm using a 1st gen iPhone with 2.0 and I have to put in APN and Username as etisalat.ae Password is empty.

Works fine.

Ciao,

I don't use swirly but EDGE works fine with my iPhone 2.0. I've put

APN etisalat.ae
Username etisalat.ae
Password <empy>

See if Safari works. If yes, at least you know that EDGE works. It works fine here with the above settings.

Then you can go and troubleshoot Swirly.

Ciao,
Jens

Oh come on, give him a break. Why not explain the facts to him and others in a helpful way instead?

Magnus, I tried. I really did. But repeating the same sh*t in daily basis is really frustrating and I dont see a reason to do that if people are to lazy or stupid to read.
