Can't you just not enter any EDGE settings, or enter the wrong settings?

That's what I did, I deleted on one letter 'e' from emirates.ae. When need be to conect to internet I'll replace just that.

I thought richardchandiramani is iphone pro. and I was just checking if I was missing something in interface/setting I don't know of.

for wifi go to settings wifi and select off

Woohoo! I did my setup of Airport with alshamil Internet connection. and wifi on iphone.

Why do I take pride take pride in this small setups? I am not a rocket scientist.

i have managed to make Du work on EDGE setting by entering the following

settings > general > networks > EDGE
APN : Du
username : Du
Password : Du

it works perfectly ,

and some1 earlier had asked how to disable EDGE automatic loging in

go to
Settings > WiFi networks > ask to join networks

choose OFF ( you will have to manualy select a network to connect to)
while if it was ON ( it will automaticly fitch the network and ask if you would like to connect)

im not 100% sure , i will make sure and let you know

Your post is entirely wrong and it caused me AED20, for just putting EDGE setting as u said its free. i just load the youtude and my 20dirhms went off.. please dnt post anything without confirming...

I'm so sorry i used edge for some time and it didnt charge me then but after it did but it wasny expensive at all like i sent three emails and checked facebook and stuff it only cost me two dh

Hi guys, thanks for all the great info on this site. I just have to confirm that the seetings for edge on etisalat work just great emails started popping in the moment i went to the inbox.

I am a blackberry customer with etisalat and i pay my monthly dues "185

" i need confirmation from anyone that is the charge constant through blackberry or do i pay more i dont think so and i hope not for us all.

Search the site, it's been discussed before. AFAIK the conclusion is that the 185/m is only for Berry traffic and won't work with iPhone.
