Internal Intranet based company procedures menu

    Hey everybody

Can anybody help me out with suggestions how i could set up a internal intranet based company procedures menu ?

Also I'm looking for a software which when i create a document, which includes a number of clauses and make a reference to another clause it will update the other clauses accordingly?

Would really appreciate if someone could help me out.

    Regards

    Riya

What do you mean by "company procedures menu"?

As far as an internal intranet, all Macs come with Apache web server.
You also might want to take a look at Joomla.

I don't know if it can do the updates thing.
Nor am I sure what exactly you want to do there.
This can be as simple as a replace command, and as complex requiring proper built HTML pages.
    Stay hungry. Stay Foolish.

    Thanks for your reply.
We want to set up an operational menu for our company, and with procedures menu i mean the procedures we generally follow as a company policy.

It may not be what you're looking for but for CENTIMETERCUBE we use BackPack as our intranet and it works pretty well.

Ooops , i meant operations manual.
In other words, a staff instruction manual for our company.
We want a html based format so that staff can access it from anywhere via web interface and so that we can take advantage of hyperlink functionality to enable staff to easily navigate between subjects, easy cross referencing, etc.

Let me clarify by example. Let's say i have created a document which contains clauses numbered 1 to 10. Let's say clause 9 makes reference to clause 1.
Later, I insert a new clause at the beginning of the document, so that the new clause becomes clause 1, and the old clause 1 becomes clause 2.
What I want is that the original reference within clause 9 to clause 1 is automatically updated to become a reference to clause 2.

    Oops i meant operations manual.

We want to set up an instruction manual for staff.
We would like it to be accessible by staff from anywhere, so a web interface makes sense.
Writing the manual using html would enable us to make use of hyperlinks for user friendly navigation and cross referencing. Does anyone know of any software which makes writing such a manual easy?

    Question

I dont see ANY benefit of such system at all. Unless its some sort of education organization. A lot more effective to have printed copy given to every person workin in the company.

If you looking to implement some sort of business routines in organization - have a look at Lotus Notes (besides its pretty good email system its great platform for business collaboration), MS Office servers (Sharepoint, Groove, etc)...

@Riya84: Have you managed to lay your hands on a software like the one you wanted. If I understand correctly:
    1. You want a webpage which contains your company's procedures manual.
    2. You want it to hyperlinked so a person searching for a specific procedure could directly go there.
    3. You want it to be available for all employees, i.e. everyone has access to ALL procedures.
    Am I right?
