The first Apple Desktop Widget....

I would be happy to get some ideas for our first Apple Desktop Widget, like someone else mention already to create a cinema widget that shows you what is on in which cinema...

Lets collect some ideas and then start with one of this Widgets :-)

Also, I dont know if this was possible but its on my wishlist

- A Dubai Traffic widget showing on which roads there are many congestions

That's an awesome idea..but like you said you aren't sure if it's possible or not..But making a Widget for Movies at are showing in the UAE and their reviews is a good idea..=P

Okay, seems like the movie/cinema topic is what people are looking for... i can understand all of you

Basic information for a widget is that Apple based it on HTML technologie. This makes it quite simple to create one. Before we start with it, we have to research if we have any possibility to get the movie informations as an XML file from any Cinema, because based on this XML file we can prepare the display and informations of the widget. Any advices for getting access to any XML file somewhere in the net which holds this kind of informations?
