Being a big BMW fan, I am hesitant to go for the Accord. Just like I would prefer a mac over the pc
Dude, I weigh 135 kilos, my brother is 180. I cant fit into my dad's BMW 750 comfortably!

So no way the Accord would accommodate us.

Whoa.... and how tall are you and your brother. My family no one above 85kgs man and none of my friends are as heavy as the friend I took, so not an issue for me even with the BMW, except for the rear seat access, dunno which dumb dude put a rear console in the middle on the beamer.

A side note: Dude, you and your brother seriously need to lose weight man, if you want I can send you a 4 min exercise video, all you do is workout for 4 mins but it is effective in reducing weight .

But in reality 4x4s are not safer.
They aren't any more rigid than a sedan, but they have a higher tendency to roll.

But when you drive a 4x4 people seem to be less intimidating and leave you alone.
You also get a higher view which makes you feel like you are further away than the traffic, and less stressed in the process.
Fang.... I would prefer a Volvo 4x4, no one puts as much safety into their cars as much as Volvo does.

I don't.. But I just kinda drive around my area..xD So speaking about cars.. xD My mom is really confused about which car to get.. She wants a mercedes E-280.. A C class.. BMW X5.. Range Rover..-.- Jeez, she can't really make up her mind.. To be honest, I don't really like the Range Rover.. I feel like it's a Taxi =P xD But there was a C class that I liked( which obviously my mom didn't).. Ahh.. Complicated.. =P Anyone know anything about those cars..xD?

Aw and Fang.. you've got a point about the 4x4s!
My friend ordered a volvo car.. What do you guys think of this(it'd be her first car) Volvo C30..?

It depends on your use? Is this car your asking for your mom or for yourself. A friend of mine has this car and its a hatchback coupe kinda thingy 2door but has room for 4 adults (average sized).

The interior is kinda boring. I mean gives a very plasticky look, for the same price point you could take a look at the BMW 1 series.

But, for a first time driver, I believe its a very very safe car, my friend opted for the optional Blind Spot Information System, where she gets alerts on cars in blind spot on her side view mirrors, thereby she can choose when to change lanes without fearing that she did not check her shoulder properly. There is also a system which monitors information on the car such as braking, steering etc.

Typical of Volvo, the safety features are unbeatable and its a very safe car that protects both passengers as well as pedestrians. I would say if you are a first time driver and want to get used to the roads here then its a very safe car to look at.

Thank you so much =)! Well basically my moms getting a car =P .. Yeah interior seems boring.. Thats what I told my mom it's just the same usual Mercedes black or baige color furnish.. Boring.. But my parents believe Mercedes is a safe car and they support the company so much xD Basically because my dad had really bad accident and nothing happened to him hamdullah because of the Mercedes car he drove that time.. =)

I adore BMW but I can keep dreaming about it..xD 'Cause I know I'll never afford such a beauty! xD I want my parents to get the GMC Acadia so next year it can be mine! Muwahah! >,<

Volvos are generally good cars, Magnus citation needed.
But I hear there are maintence issues.
I guess the price of parts is high.

If the X5 is an option go for that, hands down.
It is a perfect car.

Mercs are very good to, but I compare them to PCs in a way.
It gets you from point A to point B, but you don't enjoy the ride.
Its designed to be as comfortable as possible, not as enjoyable as possible.
Which is good for some people, especially if they don't enjoy driving.

Volvo's safety is overrated these days.
They are safe, and like Venky said, it has good features.
But they aren't that much safer than other cars.
Its reputation is from when safety was make harder cars that can survive an accident.
Nowadays, its about controlling and avoiding the accident.
They will be introducing a new system soon which is great.
It controls the brakes in accidents you can't swerve away from.
Reducing front end collisions by 75%!! (Possible increasing rear end collisions by 75% ).
