EmiratesMac and GITEX

This is one thing we wanted to discuss with EMUGers at a meeting but I'll post it here in hope that some discussion can start.

GITEX is coming up October 18-22 and Shufflegazine will have a 12 sq.m stand and they obviously invite EmiratesMac to be a part of it. What they will actually do with the stand is still being decided but they're looking for EmiratesMac to come up with ideas for what you want to do, who wants to take part, do presentations, etc.

So we're looking for good ideas, people who can help out, and all that stuff.

Im just wondering if the dates are correct. That isnt a weekend. I thought last year was a fluke and we would go back to having GITEX on a weekend. Very hard to get to Dubai for this on a weekday.

It's the same as it has been for at least the few years I've been going. It runs Sun-Th.

Hi Magnus,

Suggestions:
- provide shufflegazine special subscription offer
- provide freebies if they subscribe to shufflegazine
- big poster featuring emirates mac URL and benefits of being a member
- Of course since you represent Apple so display apple products (contact apple distributors here and see if they could display some their products in your booth)
- provide presentation/slideshow about the advantage of switching to apple (show how beautiful graphics would look like in apple, etc.)
- a drop box for customers to drop their business card
- as far as I know this is the only MAC user group in Dubai so capitalize on that
