Hi Magnus
Like you said Flip has heavy mac users . One such is myself. But our application deployment platform is Linux. To be more specific RHEL and Centos.
In recent times Flip made a good choice of moving out from M$ which cost us lot of $ for licensing and with less trouble ( free from virus). 40 to 50 percent of our technical team already using Ubuntu as their operating system.
Apple is doing wonderful with their line of products and software. They are already capturing the market at a good pace. Now I can see so many malls having macs. Emirates mac group has done a wonderful job in creating the awareness and providing support.
Linux has a long way to go. It can be useful for corporate and normal users in the days to come. Flip has benefited greatly from open source and probably they think it is time to contribute back to the community.
Cheers
Imthi
