Yes no Arabic, Etisalat guys in the store told me a software update is "coming soon" that will enable Arabic. Not sure anyone knows how "soon" "soon" really is

What if one has the original Factory unlocked, and needs to subscribe for data package? will etisalat lock the phone to Etisalat only or can we go for a data paln and still use it with other sim cards as well?

Yes you can. im using it as of now. Apply for a data package that suits you put in the settings and your done.
If your talking about the iphone plan then its different, but just data you can.

If a phone is unlocked, it can't be locked.
However, they may refuse to let you subscribe to the iPhone plans.
But it seems like they will, just not clear how.
