CENTIMETERCUBE Launched Apple Lifestyle Magazine in the Middle East

CENTIMETERCUBE, a Dubai-based architecture and design company, today announced the launch of Shufflegazine, a monthly magazine dedicated to all things Apple in the Middle East.

Shufflegazine is a monthly magazine about Apple products such as Mac, iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, and more, and the lifestyle surrounding the use of these products in daily life whether it’s business or leisure. Shufflegazine presents a unique profile in the Middle East market because it is written in both English and Arabic and it’s entirely produced in the region. EmiratesMac Apple User Group previously published Shufflegazine under the name Shuffle.

Omran Al-Owais said about the launch of Shufflegazine, “As an Emirati it’s important to me to read about what’s happening around me, how products work here, and what people here are doing with the computers and gadgets they use. We want to offer all that to our readers, and do it in English and Arabic. We feel that Shufflegazine offers something unique in the Middle East to readers and advertisers alike.”

Shufflegazine will continue where Shuffle has delivered since early 2007, in quality articles about Apple products, how people use these products in their lives and how business are run using them. The best in local news, commentary, reviews, tutorials, case studies, and more will be distributed to readers across the Middle East starting November. October will see the first issue of Shufflegazine be distributed in conjunction with GITEX in Dubai. In conjunction with the Shufflegazine printed magazine there is also a web site at Shufflegazine - Apple Lifestyle Magazine with selected articles, commentary, discussions, and more.

Price can always be debated, after looking at budget that's what we settled on. Subscription is free for EMUGers and $39 per year for anyone in the UAE, $59 in GCC, $79 intl. With the unique profile we offer, I think we offer tremendous value.

This September issue has been sent to the printer yesterday and it will be distributed as usual. October's issue will be new format, new paper, more pages, and will also be given away for free, mostly at GITEX. From November you should be able to find Shufflegazine on news stands everywhere.

Anyone can send us articles and we'll even pay contributors some if it's published. We're also working on having someone on staff to edit, write, and translate.

We'll work hard on bringing you a magazine which you can be proud to be a part of. We want Shufflegazine to be something that anyone in the Middle East can say is just as good anything available anywhere else. Obviously there's a long road ahead for us and we've lots to do to get there, but we're hoping from October's issue you can see some real change and improvement. We're also obviously open to any suggestions and critique you may have. Community is important to us and although there is now a small team getting paid to produce Shufflegazine we still need you all to send us material. Shufflegazine will keep Shuffle's tradition of being a place where any Apple fan can get published and now we hope we can work with contributors to make the stuff even better.

The scope of the slogan is anything Apple.
