Google Chrome Browser Google is literally Googlezing the web. Yesterday 2-September, Google announced its web browser called Chrome. Google is making a big buzz for its new application, including a download link on its main page. Whats so special about this new browser, and do we really need a new one beside Safari, IE, Firefox and Opera? Google says there new browser is built for scratch to fit the new web applications. Chrome is built on Apples WebKit and open sourced.

Personally, out of all the browsers out there, my favorite is Safari. Even browsers that make life much easier (Like Flock) just seem slower and less capable of loading pages in a way I expect. I have 4 browsers on my Macs, but only really use Safari, Flock is good because you can upload to blogs and photo bucket from the browser, without having to head over to those sites.

Writing this from Chrome in Vista in Fusion on my MBP. Runs very well. I like it a lot so far. The interface is very simple, minimalistic even, and it seems really quick (hope that will go for the Mac version too).

I installed Chrome on one of my XP-Computers and I really like the minimalistic design...and its also quite fast. Note: Chrome automatically imports your bookmarks, passwords and stuff from your standard browser like safari or Internet Explorer. Hint: Just open/start your standard browser before the installation of Chrome so Chrome isn't able to import anything, heheheWhy: You don't know, what data are sent back to google from your computer using this beta browser version, we all know that Google is the biggest data octopus of the world. Right? Interesting is also Googles Hydra Project

You might want to wait and see. I've downloaded FireFox, but haven't used it much. I prefer Safari's simplicity and nimbleness. For sure FF is more capable, but if all I want to do is browse, then Safari does what I need.
