Finally We Have iTunes Store in UAE (but only for AppStore)

You may have read about the expansion of the iTunes Store to more countries since yesterday but did you try to get an account with a local credit card? Well I just did and it worked just fine. Unfortunately so far you can only access the AppStore. There is no music, no movies, no TV. But I guess it's a step in the right direction, right?

MobileMe just started working for me in the last hour or so, been getting error messages all until now.

OK, I've used my credit card and created an iTune Store account. I've downloaded an application (Currency). It is saved under Library / Application. But I cannot transfer it to my iPod Touch! Is this because my iPT requires Software 2.0 update?

Ok It's working for me too. First iTunes upgraded to 7.7. Then logged on to iTunes Store to create an account. It's working fine till now. Credit Card details given. Ok. Account created. Downloaded one app from store for free. It's now stored in my Mac (iTunes Library/Application). Wait!!! I can't copy the app to my iPod Touch? Do I need Software update 2.0? Where can I get it? OK. Found it. But what's the price?

Yes, you need to put 2.0 on there.

funny how the free 2.0 for touch got leaked, didnt think it would be THAT easy lol. I am still arranging my music properly (first time in 8 years lol) and THEN i go for the update, i hate being still on 1.1.3 :P, and no i have not yet jailbroken ever. I am a very obedient student of jobso, hoping i get to come after him

But fact is, with the free 2.0 for ipod touch floating around its hard to believe apple wont do anything about it. or would they ? :S

EDIT: Question: I just went ahead and got me a mobileme account (applause), so question is, i have an itunes account that gets added via gift certificates, if i let my mobileme account create an id how do i do that, secondly, will i be able to choose UAE in the country list ? and third most important, will i be able to add credit via gift certificates ?
