iPhone at ProTech

ProTech has an iPhone at their Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, showroom. It's for people to try out, it's not for sale, as far as I know. Everything works, except the GSM phone part, I've been told.

I got two a week ago but was traveling so didn't get a chance to play with it till this weekend. I have been playing with one over the weekend and I'm really impressed. I haven't used the phone features much because I'm roaming ($ 2.50 / minute, $0.02 / KB), but the ipod and WiFi-related features are awesome. Google maps is VERY useful with full road maps and high-res aerial photography of the entire UAE. They keyboard isn't too bad, better than I expected. Will bring it to the next meeting.

I can pick up some more for people when I go to the US in two weeks, but you will only be able to use the iPod/WiFi features.

i am just stepping out of the house... i took my camera with me... will take pics and will drain its battery today before anyone else touches it.. thank go that store is never flooded with customers so i can take my time examining this elegant peace of art...
