Some Macs will be able to have 802.11n enabled
With the new Airport Extreme base station which supports 802.11n apparently comes a utility that will enable 802.11n functionality in supporting Macs. There has been a question whether people with such Macs would have to buy the new Airport station to be able to enable "n" or if there would be some other way.
Macfixit.com now reports that owners of supported Macs (iMac with Intel Core 2 Duo except 17-inch, 1.83GHz iMac, MacBook with Intel Core 2 Duo, MacBook Pro with Intel Core 2 Duo, and Mac Pro with AirPort Extreme card option) will have the option of purchasing the enabler for $4.99 (UAE price obviously yet unknown).
What sense it makes to charge for it, I don't know, but I'm glad that people will be able 802.11n without paying for an Airport station.

I was stunned that the coverage is twice as far, but I was saddened by the fact that not all macs are compatible ( only intel )
